How to find sugar-free and gluten-free desserts for the holiday season

For new ideas on healthy, raw, and delicious desserts, look no further than Park City Desserts. Park City Desserts doesn’t believe you have to sacrifice the yummy to be healthy. Specializing in creating desserts that are not just delicious, Park City Desserts is vegan and gluten-free! Owner Shelley Marshall started her dessert venture through various world travels when she fell in love with raw food and the health benefits they offer. She appreciates using nutrients as much as possible to heal the body. After following a gluten-free lifestyle, Shelley wasn’t satisfied with available sugar-filled, gluten-free desserts.

Shelley’s business was a longtime dream that began as a passion project. Early on, she made batches of raw desserts in her home kitchen for friends and family. Demand for her amazing healthy desserts pushed her business to a commercial kitchen, where she now fills orders for individuals and large events. “What’s fun is we make custom orders as well as for Keto and Paleo diets.” Her mission is “to get healthier, fun food out into the market.

You might be thinking that it’s hard to create a line of desserts with so many good qualities, such as organic, raw, and gluten-free. How does Shelley get inspiration for her desserts, like her Chokladbollar: a chocolate ball with oats, coconut, coffee, turbinado sugar, and raw cacao? Or her Hazelnut Cherry Bar with dried cherries, dates, and hazelnuts, which pairs perfectly with coffee. “Chokladbollar was an inspiration from a client when we catered to the Swedish lounge for Sundance 2018. They requested homemade treats out of their FICA cookbook. We tried this line of Swedish treats that are all vegan and gluten-free.” 

Shelley is very choosy, using only clean ingredients in her desserts. “I’m passionate about the environment and passionate about green products. I want to make sure we use the highest quality ingredients possible in addition to sustainable practices as we’re creating our desserts.”

Her vision is to continue to offer delicious and healthy desserts while supporting our community. Park City Desserts is living the sweet life guided by its core values: be good to the planet, be good to our bodies, and enjoy the decadent things in life.
