Travel Gluten Free with Celiacs
Being gluten-free is challenging enough, but traveling gluten-free puts an extra layer of planning and anxiety onto your travel plans, especially if you are celiacs or suffer from an auto-immune disease. Label-reading, knowing what ingredients contain gluten and where gluten can hide out are essential pieces of the puzzle when you are educating yourself on how to eat gluten-free. You can even find a list of my favorite travel snacks here!
Gluten Free and Auto-Immune Disease
You may have just been diagnosed with an auto-immune disorder such as Celiacs, Hashimoto's, Lupus, or Fibromyalgia. Whichever auto-immune diagnosis you have received, you may have found that many of us with the auto-immune disease need to eliminate gluten to live a healthy and full life.
Gluten is damaging to our bodies as the gluten protein may cause inflammation when gluten interacts with your immune system. When you have been diagnosed with an auto-immune disease, making sure you are eating the correct diet is extremely important to your quality of life. You and your family want to enjoy life and enjoy travel, not have to worry about where you can eat when you are on vacation.
